My (anecdotal) understanding is that many of the rebuilt cars got trucks from cars that were retired, and the 'rotating pool' of spare trucks for all the pre-R142 cars is the same, and some trucks in the pool may still be left over from retired R10s. As long as the truck passes inspection (no cracks), it stays around. |
