Layups and Putins at Flatbush

There are only a couple of them a day, but the schedule does show a couple of layups and putins for 2 trains at Flatbush - putins at 0625 and 0704 and layups at 2112 and 0005. What do they do with these trains, since there's no place for them to layup there? I have occasionally seen a dark train on one of the Flatbush platforms, but is it normal procedure to only use one of the Flatbush tracks overnight, while storing on the other one?
