But how would the dead man work? When you let go of it, what would it it do to actvate the emergency brakes?I always wondered about simply having the dead man be the "emergency" position itself. So when you let go of it from any position besides full service, it would snap back to emergency (with enough force to pass the full service notch). However, if the springs are not set right, you might have a possibility of them being strong enough to move it to emergency even if it is stopped in the full service notch. Otherwise, that would work with your "rack" handle! |
