Thanks!

Hmmm, it was definitely interesting, I can say that! The first half seemed a bit slow (long distances between stations?), but the train seemed to accelerate quicker than NYC subway trains. But then the "express" portion didn't seem that fast at all. I thought they would open the throttle wide. I saw the district line trains along side. I also saw whatever yard/shops those were.

As you can see I got my first LU shots ever at Gloucester Road. Heathrow was a madhouse and there were announcements being made to pay for your ride at your destination. Then some employee told us the same thing. I had wanted to buy Oysters with some value and a 7-day Travelcard starting tomorrow but in the rush I just went with this "pay-later" scheme which I thought you weren't even allowed to do (20 pound fine for not having valid ticket or oyster!) and I thought you couldn't pay for a fare from within fare control. But at Gloucester i had to pay CASH fare at this window in fare control. What a rip off. Then again, if it really did save us a lot of time at Heathrow then it was worth it, since our hotel checked up right is quite early and that was a huge help to us.

So tomorrow evening I think we'll be purchasing 7-day Travelcards on Oyster.
