I admit my choice of words wasn't great on that one.What I meant to say was that the Broad St. - Richmond line, the Kentish Town(St. Pancras before that) - Barking line and that section between South Hampstead and Camden Rd. have been through changes(re-/electrification, change of terminus, closure) for mostly the benefit of other services that use sections of those lines and not for the local passengers who still have to deal with 2 to 4tph. And while I thought the loss of one-seat ride to Broad St. was bad, they now want to send you down to places like New Cross when the Docklands is finally becoming a useful destination. |
