R service is really bad |

Posted by LuchAAA on Sat Jan 17 03:37:19 2026 Here is a scenario.R, northbound, entering Queens Plaza during PM rush. Entering Queens Plaza it's doing about 5 mph. When it gets to the middle of the station, around the conductors board, it's barely doing 5 mph and an E enters the station at normal speed on the express track. The E makes a stop, people get on and off, doors close and the E leaves while the R is still crawling into the station before finally making a normal station stop. And the passengers on the R are furious. They are at the doors seeing an express and realize what just happened because the R is crawling barely at 5 mph. Then the R sits at least 5 minutes, I guess to let an M cross in front. The R is a terrible line during the week and on weekends. No matter what service changes are made the R will always be frustrating for customers. |
