What you do is have the N run its 2010-2016 pattern during the day between Ditmars and Coney Island local north of Canal via the BridgeThe R runs between Ditmars and Bay Ridge via the Tunnel all times except late nights while keeping its current night service. The W would run between Ditmars and Coney Island via the Tunnel and would be the designation for all current late night N service via Tunnel The N, R, W would all share equipment with one another much like the N and the W does today The M goes to Continental all times except late nights and the G goes to Continental all times except late nights. Basically the N and the R would share equipment to solve the yard access issue and Astoria gets two subway lines on the weekends now too. |
