There is a definite irrefutable logic behind referring to manhattan bound Myrtle as northbound. Prior to 1940, the 5th Ave Bay Ridge el connected to Myrtle near Navy street and continued over the Bkln Bridge to Park Row. Now the 5th Ave trains were definitely northbound as they originated at either 65 St or Stl on the Culver. Also recall that the trans going over the bridge were actually physically northbound also, so those two facts combined justify referring to Manhattan bound Myrtle trains as NORTHBOUND. I would strongly recommend that those of you who wish to both pursue the hobby as both ordinary buffs and transit historians familiarize yourselves with the history and the logic behind the transit system and the proper and accurate terminology that goes along with them.
