IIRC the LL had 2 six car consists. The M & Jamaica lines had none.

When the R42's came out, those 2 trains on the LL were sent to Jamaica Yd. to join the other R40M's.

The Eastern Division then received R42's #'ed something like 4852 to 4922.

Later when the R44's came out, The Eastern Division received additional R42's: 4923-4949.
