Cuomo votes for this bail reform law . It is actually a series of laws Cuomo signed into law . The most disturbing is the requirement for the da office to turn Over all witness and victim info to the defense attorney . There has already been multiple incidents where victims and witnesses have been assaultedA second terrible thing is they changed the meaning of violent crime to me using a weapon such as a knife or gun . Simply kicking someone’s head until they are unconscious is not violent according to the law This will drive down the reported crime numbers . If the criminal knows your name and address and is going to be released anyway , why report the crime . There is broken car windows every day near my job . Street cleaning is done twice a week Defiant black and Latino state senators claim they will never make common sense changes to the law . They are comparing the police to slave recovery squads . In the end , low income black and Hispanic people who don’t have the ability to move will be the ones who pay the price with their life and lack of jobs . Already have my house up for sale .
