Most of us here probably have a soft spot in our hearts for them, and many of us remember when they were new, and there is something special about their longevity. But today, unless I want the RFW, I don't enjoy riding in them. Their interior lighting and colors are unpleasant, they're noisy and their ride is harsh, the retro-fit air-conditioners are problematic, and they just feel antiquated and primitive. We've all gotten used to better. I imagine the crews are tired of them too, the operators being confined to the tiny cab, the conductors having to change cars to change sides. Nevertheless, there's that RFW and soft spot....
