Or you could have looked before turning, seen the barriers, the do not enter signs on the potentially one-way street (which you WOULDN'T have gotten into a collision on, since the GPS believed it to be one-way in your direction of travel)

It's NOT infallible, and it's NOT a substitute for being an alert, aware, and observant driver.
