I hated the way there was a loud party every Saturday night and loud cars.When you say white, you're being too generic. Not sure what's happening on Bedford Ave. I thought that neighborhood gentrified. I can promise you that the white Jewish neighbors I had in Queens were the best you can have in all of America. When I come back up north, I'm doing what trainsarefun is doing. I'm going to seek Jewish and Asian neighbors. |

Maybe, but it's reality. People don't want to admit it, but real estate agents know better. We lost all of our white neighbors, and suddenly there was music blasting every single day, and strange cars parking in our private parking spots. We were constantly calling tow-trucks to have the cars towed, and complaining to management about the noise. |

And then there is the overall lack of parking for residents cause everyone has to bar hop in Bayside....so Luchie use of Hispanics as scapegoats doesn't fly....plus there are Whites that live up in Washington Heights....and they don't seem to care either way. If Luchie wants peace and quiet...he should move to the Poconos.... |

I did not mean he tried to help them in the sense that tney could not qualify for the position on their own. People think that by arguing, "Well, all the whites get into fights at the bar on Bell Blvd or Bedford Ave", that it ends the argument. There's a big difference between a minor nuisance and total deterioration of a neighborhood. |

It's the "Klan flag" to people from New York who like to put down Southerners. When the World Cup comes around, and you watch the games on ESPN or Univision, you're going hear a lot of commentary about Apartheid. They will use the opportunity for political commentary and history lessons. |

Then you see the quality-of-life decline(as documented in the photos I posted here from Flushing Meadows Park and 108th St). Then you hear about shootings and stabbings on a weekly basis, like we did last year in Brentwood. I've noticed things are quiet out there, mainly b/c of the cold. It will "heat up" again once the weather gets warm. But it's not all minorities. For example, Ozone Park is now mostly Guayanese and Indian, while Flushing is Asian, and I have no problem with those neighborhoods. |

A Nissan with tinted windows, blue lights, loud music, and louder muffler, pulls up and starts honking the horn instead of using a cell phone. Why do your male Hispanic neighbors do that? Attention. Cred. They want people to look at them, so they don't use the cell or text.Could be. After all who doesn't have a cell phone anymore? |

I won't stereotype everyone, but most white people in LA won't even drive through black neighborhoods, much less consider moving there. The only majority black neighborhood that might not be considered "bad" is Baldwin Hills/Ladera/View Park and even then there are very few whites that live there. The perception is that white people in black neighborhoods will be victimized for not belonging there. |
