name a former white community in NYC that improved or did not decline when minorities became the majority?

First, the schools go downhill. Then you see the quality-of-life decline(as documented in the photos I posted here from Flushing Meadows Park and 108th St). Then you hear about shootings and stabbings on a weekly basis, like we did last year in Brentwood. I've noticed things are quiet out there, mainly b/c of the cold. It will "heat up" again once the weather gets warm.

But it's not all minorities. For example, Ozone Park is now mostly Guayanese and Indian, while Flushing is Asian, and I have no problem with those neighborhoods.
