"Remind me not to live in a white middle class neighborhood where whites hang out at bars, getting drunk and rowdy on Friday and Saturday nights. They trash neighborhoods too, look at Bedford Ave in Williamburg near the L train. "Same thing happened here in Bayside, Queens.....I moved in 1984 to a "bedroom community" where Bell Blvd was full of mom-and-pop stores....then THEY CAME..in the late 1980s...the money-bags...and Bell Blvd became SALOON CENTRAL...where everyone from all over the place came to bar hop and eat all night....the residents like myself have to put up with the noise pollution and the garbage on the side streets that no one picks. And then there is the overall lack of parking for residents cause everyone has to bar hop in Bayside....so Luchie use of Hispanics as scapegoats doesn't fly....plus there are Whites that live up in Washington Heights....and they don't seem to care either way. If Luchie wants peace and quiet...he should move to the Poconos.... |
