I thought that the episode was hilarious (one of the few that I've eve seen), but when I would pass by the play and see everyone lined up to laugh at someone else's religion it kind of put me off. |

I was with you on the idea that most on the left understand playing religious on TV until you went into that tolerance of sin stuff. IMO there's right and wrong and sin is kind of baby talk.Well I don't know about baby talk, but that's because you and I aren't religious. I could be wrong but I think that if you are religious, then sin comes up now and again. What I see many on the left doing when they practice religion is changing what is and isn't sin to fit modern concepts. |

Longer than before, thanks to the idiotic 200-seat law.That law doesn't do the center-left any good because it doesn't apply to the Senate and, unlike other parliamentary democracies, a Government must win a vote of confidence from BOTH chambers and no coalition has a Senate majority (or even close to one). and the President can't dissolve the government and call an election unless someone does. a new President of the Republic will be elected in April. The center-left plus Monti's people have a majority in the combined body of House + Senate + regional delegates that elects the President. That person will then be able to dissolve Parliament (or just one of the chambers) when he/she takes office. |
