A pair of gas stations near the airport in that city are charging $5.29 and $5.19 for regular gas, and more prices north of $4/gal. are being seen around the country as unrest in the Middle East continues. This week, protests are planned in Saudi Arabia, which is the largest exporter of oil to the US, and coupled with increasing prices for everything from foodtuffs to clothing to airfares, the ongoing economic recovery could be swiftly trabsformed into a devastating "double dip" recession.I think we are in for a very rough year. Modern human civilization needs food and oil if it is to survive, and when these are priced out of the reach of ordinary working people, trouble ensues. DISCLAIMER: This is my opinion.
