US military intervention in Libya might be a good idea at this point.That's the worse idea ever. Let the Europeans worry about it. We're bankrupt. They're not and it's their problem anyway. Their Armed Forces are just fine and fully capable to do the job if they wanted to. The era when the US can afford to carry everyone's water is over. We hardly have enough personnel for Afghanistan and the remaining forces in Iraq as it is. Other than a quick airstrike on Ghadafi himslef, there is nothing we can do. |
