There are capped wells all over the Western US that will be uncapped when it becomes cheaper to do so rather than import oil. That has nothing to do with Democrats or Republicans, but simple economics. To blame a political party for that is stupid. We also have untapped reservoirs of natural gas that are more expensive to tap than to import. Once that tide changes we will tap them.If we develop alternatives in addition to using the above sources we probably won't need to drill in the ocean and risk another disaster like we had in the Gulf of Mexico last year. your pal, Fred |
