If I impregnated someone right now, I would want her to get an abortion, nurturing instinct be damned. At some future time I will feel differently. But in any case most abortions are performed before the woman is visibly pregnant and before the fetus is able to kick and stuff.

But being nurturing to your own offspring IS logical. Nurturing to a growth of cells that you don't want or those of someone else you don't know is not.
