I don't think it's a bad thing, as yes, they do take forever to disappear...but what can they use instead, especially for things that leak? Sometimes you jusyt need something like that. what I find reprehensible are delis, etc that still use styrofoam cups for coffee. There is absolutely no need for them. At 7-11's for example in Suffolk, they use paper cups....in the city and in other states I have been to, they still use styrofoam. Why? No reason to not use paper cups.
