I agree with you completely...on all three of those things mentioned (and I put those three things on the same level as seatbelt laws and helmut laws, smoking laws, etc. However, I see no problem with protecting the enviroment from a substance that doesn't rot for centuries. That's not the same thing as the "walking through cars", trans fat, aluminum mbat, seatbelt laws, the "nigger" word ban, etc, etc, which yes, those are nanny laws. This is not a "nanny" law.
