How would you propose enforcing that law?And how would you account for the greater likelihood that an unbelted driver loses control of the vehicle and thereby causes damage or injury to others? (Or do you think the higher insurance premiums would compensate?) I don't. I can't. I don't. I was stating the very lowest level of argument as to why seat belt laws are not nanny laws, because they are for my good rather than the good of the person who might not waer the belt. |
