First off... ALL 9900's are now assigned to Albany...ALL 9900's!!! LFS's and Nabi's! Troy and Schenectady got the 2000 series Orion VI's...any 9900's still there is because to fulfill the wrapper contracts...All the Soft seat Nova's 9951-9958 and 3001-3030 are in Albany! No more soft seats on the Troy or Schenectady Express routes (35X-55X). Why would you want the passengers to have soft seats on the highways? Why not use them on the ghetto runs so they can get ripped up!!! 630 and 642 have been removed from service, both sitting in the back yard, their fate unknown, in Albany along with 2018- #9 fire wreck All 180 series Orion II's are removed and all but 184 are gone. 184 is stripped for parts. 901-914 are removed from service after a scathing report in the Times Union about the buses with no a/c and a couple drivers being removed by ambulance from overheating... 921-925-their fate is growing closer to the scap pile...923 burned up a couple years ago, but, was retuned to service last year after being rebuilt in Canada. Fire wrecks so far: 2012, 2055, 9954, 9923, 2094, 923, 2020, 2071, 2018 1001 and 1002 both removed from service. I own 1001,shich is in storage and might go for sale soon, and 1002 went to NIMCO a year ago! ALL ORION I's are removed from serive and gone with a couple exceptions left in the bone yard at Albany for parts. 100's, 200's, 300's, 600's and 700's..gone 695 was destroyed in a terrible accident not long after it was purchased! All buses are being repainted...to look identical to SEPTA buses since the new boss came from SEPTA and likes the stripes on the roof. Right now, I'd say there's 15 repainted 9900 series LFS's (NO SUBURBAN's have been repainted yet, 1 3000 series repainted (3026), 20 repainted Orion VI's, 2 repainted NABI's, and the new STAR buses made by Star Trans 200-213 sport the new roof stripes, CDTA log on the back along with phone # and web site address No new bus orders have been talked about with the exception of more FORD/STAR Trans mini's and a few GMC/STAR Trans comming for rural routes. |
