Don't know how long the R143-R160 will last, but the R62/R68 are barely 20-25 years old and especially the R62 are very beat up.

If the 4-car R160A's are the last to arrive, and the R32's on the A/C are all gone, the R42's will probably still be around at ENY.

As it stands no one is 100% sure on the deal with the R32/42 retirement. The TA constantly changes things. You sound really ignorant, no one is saying we know everything nor is anyone foaming over NTT. Its better to base statements off factual data then one's obessesions. The point that you are missing is that the R32s and r42s are both old as hell so eventually both will end up being retired.

I don't know... maybe the fact that I memorized every stop on every line and could give people multiple well detailed directions from the time I was 3. That regardless of what cars are running on a line I'm still going to enjoy the ride like its the 1st time I've done it, finding new things along the route each time. And that at some point in the near future I want to try and make a new record for riding the entire system.

Do yourself a huge favor, walk inside of a R160 and tell everybody you see on how much you like those garbage cans.

Whether or not you think my reasons are good enough is no consequence to me and you should quit with the whole im better than you routine. You sound like a pre-teen and I told you the last you don't want to play that game with me.

Once again you avoid the fact that I stated my favorite cars were the Slants, that I posted factual info which you have not done and you also managed to neglect to explain why you flame people no reason.

Yes its necessary that I flame him. I'm just standing up to show my support for the remaining SMEEs.

Greetings Everyone! Yesterday was the "last day" for the last 4 R40m's on the #6 Pickup. These last 4 cars have been removed from service on the refuse train, and have been replaced by 4 R-32s,still sporting "V" line signs.I saw the #6 pickup yesterday at Kings Highway on the "F" line as this train was heading back "Home" to 38th Street Yard, and i wish i had been able to take a last photo. So,barring a last minute reprive somehow,it is truly over.Goodbye to the Modified's and to the Slants as well-you have served well and with distinction...
