Yesterday was the "last day" for the last 4 R40m's on the #6 Pickup.These last 4 cars have been removed from service on the refuse train,and have been replaced by 4 R-32s,still sporting "V" line signs.I saw the #6 pickup yesterday at Kings Highway on the "F" line as this train was heading back "Home" to 38th Street Yard,and i wish i had been able to take a last photo.So,barring a last minute reprive somehow,it is truly over.Goodbye to the Modified's and to the Slants as well-you have served well and with distinction... |
