Maybe they should use letters+colors for the train lines and numbers+colors for the BRT lines.Their A train symbol looks the same as ours (A in dark blue circle). Not a complaint. |

Well, if all rail lines are considered, the Blue Line (light rail) opened first. So it would be the A, followed by the Red Line as B. The Purple Line is tricky, while it was originally a branch of the Red Line, and actually opened before the Red Line segments to Hollywood and North Hollywood (July 1996, June 1999 and June 2000, respectively). Meanwhile, the Green Line opened before any of those (August 1995). So who knows what they'll do. I think the BRT bus lines (Orange and Silver) don't need letters. They can use their official route numbers (901 for Orange, 910 for Silver). Just use 900-series for all BRTs and people will get the idea. |

Gold doesn’t look orange to me but I’ve definitely heard people have the same issue in the real world. More than once I’ve heard people looking at a map and plotting a course for the orange line when they really wanted gold. I was able to help those people but I’m guessing that it must happen fairly often. |

Rivet counting modelers often have major disagreements over the "correct" shade of a color the the prototype bought from several vendors whose products faded differently. |

Over the years, I have had the displeasure of working with multiple brands of 'Cat3,5,6' voice and data cable which supposedly have standardized colors for the individual wires. In some light the greens and blues are nearly indistinguishable.And we are not even talking about those of us with eye color reception defects. |

Indeed. I cut Cat5 and 6 cable all the time and see the difference of striped and solid strand colors between manufacturers. As long as you can manage to use the proper sequence (568-B or 568-A) on both sides and don't accidentally create a crossover (-b to -a or vice versa) cable. I still use a cable tester with a loopback device to test my crimped creations.And you're also right about the deficiencies with human eyes insofar as our reception of colors. Some people have vivid color reception, some don't and some are blind to certain colors (not necessarily the same as others). I once knew someone who was color blind to the color purple. They saw it as black. |

As far as I know this yet to be opened customer service booth is the very first for modern LA Metro rail. It’s long overdue as usually there are no staff to be found if you have questions of any type.
