I liked the Inspector John J. Fidoozle and despised that rotten scoundrel Finius T. Bluster. Remember the show Rootie Kazootie? I got tickets to that show once back in 1951. Has a blast.

Yeah. Remember it well! Very funny!
A bit of absurdity and anarchy for all of us to watch Saturday A.M.

Whenever, there was a prank played on Andy, they would cut to a film of an audience of kids laughing very hard. It was always the same film with the same kids laughing, week after week.

No, if there was a major conspiracy, and I am not saying there was, it does not stand to reason that the truth woud have come out by now as you assert.

Go see the excellent movie Spotlight to learn how the Church conspired to keep the widespread epidemic of chid molestation by priests a secret since the 1960s. The truth did not come out until about ten years ago and still has any priest yet been punished for their acts or Cardinal Lawe for conspiring to keep it a secret in sonething like 50 countries all over the world? Is that yet another harebrained conspiracy that no one has been prosecuted?

That’s bullshit. You purposely posted about those dreams because of your conjecture that they were possibly caused by some variety of ESP. I am pointing out that ESP is conclusively bullshit, so your implied claim that these dreams were based on some unexplained phenomenon is bullshit. IOW I am saying that your dreams are completely explainable with modern knowledge, even if my proposed explanations are not correct.

I never stated anything about ESP. That was your erroneous misinterpretation of my statement. As I keep repeating, you have a reading comprehension problem because you interpret things wrong due to your closed mind and inability to listen to what others are saying.

Other than saying it was ESP which I never alluded to, there are no explanations for those dreams using "modern knowledge". Your explanations are thoroughly implausible and now you even admit they may not be correct. Why do you have to believe that every single thing has to be explainable?

Nope. You claimed that your and your sisters’ dreams were premonitory. I lump that in under “ESP.” You don’t have to say something explicitly in order to say something.

I have an open mind. An open mind to know that you are claiming that your dreams are premonitory. I know enough to say that any such claims are bullshit.

I never said my explanations were exactly correct. Only that they were plausible.

Everything is explainable. That’s the whole idea behind science; if you can’t explain something, then you try to figure out how.

The reason I stated that 18 was not an appropriate cut off was due the high correlation between education and beliefs. If going to college and post graduate education was such a strong influence in determining beliefs, it is inappropriate to choose an age cutoff where some of the respondents have not yet has the opportunity to go to college or take post graduate courses. That was my point.

On the other hand if the results would have shown a low correlation, then 18 years of age would have been a perfectly appropriate cutoff.

I can't shed any light on it because I was a little kid and my father has been dead for almost 35 years. I do remember my mother telling me that my father picked up a few pay phones near CCNY and did not hear a dial tone. I'm not sure whether in pay phones of the day, the dial tone did not come on until you put your nickel in. Of course, she might have misremembered what my father told her or I am misremembering what she told me.

Again, you are putting words in my mouth and reading what I never wrote. How could I have stated my sister's dreams were premonitory when she wasn't trying to warn me of anything? She told me what happened after the fact, not in an attempt to change my behavior.

And your explanations were not plausible at all. There was no way I subconsciously wanted to speak to the individual in question who I never had any association with.

And your last sentence in itself is contradictory. You say everything is explainable. Then you say if it isn't, you try to figure something out. And sometimes you never figure it out. We still have thousands of unexplained flying objects. Shouldn't we have figured them all out by now? If we have a reason for all of them, then we only have EFOs (Explained flying objects) not UFOs. And what is the definition of an adult? You can vote at 18, but have to be 21 to drink. You may be allowed to marry in some states as young as 16. There is no clear definitive age for an adult.

And changing the cutoff to 25, still would conclude what adults think, not what educated people think. It would just be fairer as I stated because the population surveyed would have had to chance to get the education that was so influential in survey results, not to say that they did, so they still would be measuring what adults think not what educated people think.

Also, not everyone matures at the same age. Females mature faster than males.

I don't believe I ever stated he was born in 1965. If I did, it was just some hurried typing. What I meant was that he either was born shortly before 1965, in 1965 or sometime thereafter where he would not have lived through it, or be old enough to remember it. You made a statement about median age of the popuation stating to the effect that the chances he would be old enough to remember it would be slim, and referred to his "apparent youth".

I don't see the relevance of the term "apparent youth" because someone about 50 would not be considered young by anyone except someone much older lkie in their 80s, or the point about someone being five minutes old. That's why I said it is irrelevant.

It was a dime not a nickel and yes, you had to put your money in to hear the dial tone.

Later the dial tone would come on right away so you could call 911, but that was way after 1965. First they had 440-1234 as the emergency number in NYC before they standardized everywhere to 911.

If you raised the age to 25, you’d probably have an ever higher percentage of people who believe in creation, not less. Younger people are more likely to be non-religious, and religion is pretty much a necessary condition for believing in creationism.

Again, as I said before, I used youth in a relative sense. 50 is youth compared to 60, etc.

I actually liked that show better than Howdy Doody. The host was a guy named Todd Russell and he was a down to hearth fellow, much like Buffalo Bob.

Zoomac was tolerable......I despised Finoius T. Bluster on Howdy Doody, and I didn't like Princes Summerfall Winterspring much either.

I remember a caper on that show that was supposed to fake everyone out and the clue to solve it was the word LEAP. And, yes, it was February 29 and it had to do with Fineas T. Bluster.

That was Froggy the Grimin......Now that character I liked. He got people he didn't like to do things that made us all laugh. I think the sponsor of that show was Buster Brown Shoes. I can't remember the name of the show though.

That's my dog Tide, he lives in a shoe.
I'm Buster Brown, look for me in there too.

So silly and so long long ago.
