Following up on Wayne's comments..... I too grew up on LI. And, something doesn't add up here.Indeed there were many such collisions between trains and cars on grade crossings. For both diesel and MU equipment the damage to the trains have been astoundingly minimal. Really just a few scratches. So, what the hell happened in LA. I never heard of a motor vheicle on tracks derailing a train. Usually, the train wins big time! |
