This station used another variant of that pre-lettered and numbered tile font (the one pointing to the exit) that, in this form, was previously used at the Sutphin, Parsons Blvd., and 169th Street stations of the Queens Boulevard line; plus 16 stations (between 181st and 137th Streets, 116th and 103rd Streets, 33rd and 23rd Streets, SB Astor Place through Canal Street, Worth Street, and Hoyt/Bridge Streets) for when the platforms on original 1904 IRT stations were lengthened in the late 1940's. |
