I never understood why they thought it would be a good idea to have all F trains run express between Bergen and Church, bypassing all the busiest stations on the line. The next schedule change, or complete service change, was to have all F trains run local between 18th Ave and Bergen.

According to the current posted schedule, there are still 2 trains that run express between Jay St and Church Ave in each direction. These 4 trains still show a time for 4th Ave even though they don't stop there! I wonder how often they end up running local anyway.

I rode the F express through Bergen St back in the day and I can't remember if the station was tiled or not back then, but it was pretty dark.
