I look at that track map and wonder why they didn't make BPB a 4 track station. You have 4 going in and 4 going out. I went to Lehman for a year and remember getting on an R9 D on the center track if I left at certain times, but it was always a local since I was doing the reverse commute. And it was always an R9, never an R32 or R42, on the center. This was around 1971. Concourse yard was all R9, even then, and usually the oldest and worst of them. The R1s were already gone but the R4 were there. Maybe 100 was still there, IDK. |
