Geez, if the museum doesn't want it, I hope the LIRR museum can pick it up, even though there is no way they can run it (though maybe it's possible to run it on the NYC subway? Even if just the elevated trackage? :-))

That MP-54 is impossible to run on the subway due to clearance issues and other things. It would be nice if either the museums in Oyster Bay and Riverhead, but probably would never happen.

This MP-54 if acquired either museum would have to pay the Connecticut Trolley Museum and there's the moving cost too. Now there's money they probably don't have. I don't think either museum is interested in bringing her home, but that's my guess.
