No, they were on the LIRR for about 20 years. They generally sandwiched an ex-UP Lounge car which did get scrapped.

MN had an extreme equipment shortage of loco-hauled equipment until just before Brewster electrification. LIRR had to give them up. Title was eventually transferred. Morris Park wanted to do a quicky conversion to them, yanking out the steam line and installing a diesel-gen set like they did to the B&O car to render them useless to MN, but were afraid of getting fired.

MN has a "gentleman's" agreement to donate them to Steamtown when they get rid of them.
