LIRR Mp54's were built between 1908 and 1930. 2/3rd got a rebuild in the 1950's.Ronan ordered junking of a lot of accumulated and rare spare parts in 1967, as well as deferred maintenance. They also scrapped 23 year old double deckers, though they had structural issues, and 19 year old MP70 "Wyer" cars (20 of them). |
