I don’t think anyone has anything against working class people wearing appropriate workwear on their way to work. The problem has become that a number of corporations have severely relaxed their dress codes for those in the white collar jobs in which the personnel should look professional. When I went to Catholic high school, although we didn't have actual uniforms like some schools did, we were required to wear jackets, ties and reasonably dress type pants to class. Chinos were acceptable but jeans were not. |
