One advantage of this is that suits are more expensive than casual clothing. It’s better if working class people don’t waste suits by wearing them so often. Moreover, people who can’t wear suits for practical reasons (they need to wear appropriate work clothes) no longer have to waste time changing clothes at work. I only bemoan professional slobbery. |
