TWU members do dangerous jobs for little pay and are constantly getting vilified by newspapers (that bash all city employees, by the way). A cost of living increase is not unreasonable.they're the ones feeding off the working class Unions CREATED the working class and union members ARE working class. We are talking about skilled laborers (people who have gone through months or more of training) who make far less than what the average NYer makes in private industry. |
