Yeah, and the whole reason people use the LIRR instead of their cars is traffic to the city. You can't have a train going from every point a to possible work location on LOng Island. A car is easier to use for most of those circumstances, and parking is also generally easy. If people wouldn't be stuck in traffic for hours, and have a hard time parking in the city once they got there, they would take their cars to the city too instead of the LIRR. Parking is not a huge issue either for many Long Island office locations. |
