Most people who live on LI and work on LI will drive, unless you live and work in towns served by the same line. That's just a fact.Before committing to intra-island commuters, the LIRR has to improve it's reverse commuter (people living in NYC and working on LI) problem. Service is severely hamstrung by the main line's need to use both of it's tracks for peak service. |
