They should run the C to Lefferts, and run all A service to the Rockaways

That is the way for the MTA to get pilloried by every two-bit Queens politician there is. Can you imagine how poorly a casino stealing a neighborhood's service would play out? Even if that were a good idea, it's a non-starter.

The other non-starter as I see it is running some sort of super-express: the MTA won't want to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory after they got rid of the operational nuisance that was the Train to the Plane.

I suspect the MTA's line will be that the existing Far Rockaway trains are far from full (especially off-peak) and therefore there is no need to provide any extra service. One interesting possible scenario is that Resorts World might disagree with that decision and offer to pay to get the service increased to the sort of frequencies their patrons might expect at all hours of the day (maybe 6tph or something). This would raise the issue of whether a public agency should be taking private money to run service that it would not otherwise run — who knows what the MTA's answer to that question might be?

As I see it, there are just two likely candidates for any additional service:
1) extending the Rockaway Park (S) to Rockaway Boulevard (actually Hudson middle, but let's not confuse the pax), retimed to connect with the Lefferts (A);
2) extending the (C) to Rockaway Park (this might turn out not actually be a real possibility: I don't know if there are enough R32s left for any type of extension of the (C)).

The other problem with a (C) extension to Rockaway Park is that it's a part-time line: it doesn't run at some the hours when the racino is likely to be busiest. But it would be really nice if the result of all this were a full-time 600' (C) train.

To have trains terminating or short turning at Aqueduct would be absurd, with the airport connection so close, they should just do it there if anywhere.

Agreed, even though it's a very secondary airport connection, and it would be a bit strange having trains terminating from opposite directions one station apart.
