On top of that, was he wearing a uniform or anything else that ID'd him as something other than some dude coming up out of the dark? I know from experience that guys play cop on the subway telling me there's no photography and threatening to take my camera. The cop in Philly who gave me a disorderly conduct citation was plainclothes and didn't identify himself as a cop, just started bullying. So if some Mestizo faced dude comes up to me in the nightime without a uniform or ID, I'm probably gonna tell him it ain't none of his business because I probably profiled him and thought "he don't look like no cop to me". your pal, Fred |

And as I said, I DOES cause anxiety, panic attacks, and even paranoia in people. That doesn't mean it will happen to people every time they do it, but it most definitely can. I have seen it.The concentration of THC was so low that it was at least a couple of days since Martin had smoked. Have you seen that kind of delayed reaction in people's panic attacks or paranoia? |

I still think Zimmerman made the mistake of not staying in his car, but it's not a crime to follow someone on the street. If Martin felt threatened, he should have either run or called the cops himself. He has no right to attack someone because he thinks he's being followed. The evidence now suggests exactly what the "hoodie" crowd was asserting from the beginning, only in reverse. Martin "profiled" Zimmerman as a crazy white man and attacked him in response. The man with the gun won. |

Dropping the murder charge and charging him with a lesser felony is almost as bad as dropping the charges. It will anger the usual suspects and it will be focused on the prosecutor. This is why any prosecutor worth his/her salt provides a safety valve by including lesser charges they can fall back upon if the murder case falls apart. Any anger then can be directed at the jury. |

The all-or-nothing prosecutorial approach is always a bad idea in high profile cases. I really don't understand what drives prosecutors to do it. Various cases of NY police shooting unarmed people and being charged with murder come to mind as well. There's reckless and there's reckless. In cases where clearly the defendant didn't head out in the morning telling himself "I'm gonna kill someone today" it's incredibly hard to prove the recklessness was so extreme as to constitute murder. Yet prosecutors keep trying. |

I have kept an open mind on this case. I have not defended Zimmermann at all. I have attacked people at automatically making him guilty until proven guilty however. However, with the new evidence, and the wounds on Zimmermann's head, etc, I am beginning to lean towards him being attacked. I still can't state whether it was self defense or not, but it definitely shows there's way more to this story that activists like JayZee would want to story to be (who obviously don't believe in our justice system's innocent until proven guilty unless he has an agenda to defend - such as if this was a black man that killed someone) |
