Yeah, I would assume California would be very similar to NYC. Unfortunately, the red states are probably to lenient on the landlords, but there is no doubt that the blue areas are way to lenient on the tenants. It's not right that it should take almost a year to get a bad tenant out (and yes, usually it's when they know how to play the system), losing a year's rent, plus fees in the process. In some buildings, that could be the difference between paying the mortgage, or losing the building. |
