I am yet to receive an answer to the original question....of the package arrived at the local hub Fri night, why wasn't it put on a truck for delivery next business day?You did receive an answer. From UPS. And there was nothing wrong with it. I'm sure it happens all the time. Doing so is wasteful at minimum......So what? It's not your money they are wasting. So why should they be avoided? Yet I have no signs that the package is anywhere but lost. uPS claims otherwise.WTF? Why would you even think it could possibly be lost?!!?!? |

Well, I must say in general I think FedEx is much better.Today UPS left us a package, and also at the same time left a note saying that because they couldn't deliver the package, they would redeliver tomorrow. The package was cat medicine that needs to be refrigerated. I saw the note before I saw the package. You can rightly point out that everything was fine - UPS delivered as promised. However, they were still annoying. |

I would also be annoyed if UPS were to use the full time available under its promise even though I knew the package was just an hour away long before.But would you still be annoyed if you looked at the "estimated delivery date" or whatever it's called and it was more than 1 day away, meaning UPS had no intention on delivering it to you as quickly as possible? One can be annoyed with a transaction even if it follows all the rules.But in this case there's no reason to be annoyed. She knew it could take a while to arrive. And UPS provides an expected arrival date once it's in the system. So she should have never gotten her hopes up that because it was coming from nearby, it would arrive much quicker than normal. And she's not just annoyed, she making multiple claims of UPS wrongdoing and she's telling others not to use them. |

This is what you get if you enter a Plattsburgh ZIP code: The disclaimer that it's a "general representation" is much weaker than "the shipping class required 5–7 business days for delivery." I would be annoyed if the method of shipment was UPS Ground and the customer service rep said what bingbong claims she said. |

I prefer UPS over Fedex. I had the same experience with Fedex that was similar to what another poster had with UPS - nonexistant notices, not even bothering to try when I left a note to leave it at my door, etc. Ended up having to wait on line to pick up the item at a hub in the middle of nowhere (on the plus side, it was next to the branch to LIC). I vowed never to have anything shipped by Fedex if I can avoid it. |
