Apropos of alomst nothing, our cat had been having intestinal problems ever since we got him as a rescue. A prescription totally zero-allergenic diet worked, but he hated the food.Just on a hunch, we tried an off-the-shelf grain-free food, and he likes it much better and his intestines remain fine. I don't think he has celiac disease - he just appears to be allergic to some type of grain. So possibly there are also people who don't have celiac disease, but happen to be allergic to something that isn't present in gluten-free foods. |
