I am not much of a soda drinker at all, but I cut out most sugar about 2 years ago. I love unsweetened iced teas best, and also drink a lot of seltzer. I am not that much of a fan of diet soda, but will occasionally drink diet coke/pepsi or diet ginger ale.
I agree, it does make regular soda taste better on the very rare occasions I'll drink soda with sugar. But similarly, things with sugar actually taste "too sweet" to me now.

I will have a beer or two when I go out to dinner, but if I don't drink beer when out, I usually either ask for an unsweetened iced tea, or a seltzer with lime.

I also in the last year or so began drinking coffee black, no milk or (gasp) sweeteners in it. It only works when it's "good" coffee, as the pisswater many delis attempt to pass off as coffee is basically undrinkable, and why most people feel the need to add milk or sweetener.

I drink coffee black and am glad DD added a dark roast as their regular was bland to me. My grandmother would make a lot of noise if someone drank black coffee, like it was sinful or something.

fiogf49gjkf0d
Yes!!! I found the DD dark roast, and TOTALLY agree with you about their regular roast, it's not strong enough for me. Even when I get coffee at 7-11 I get the Brazilian Gold roast, which is the darkest one they have, darker than the Colombian, and of course darker than their regular roast.
I can tell within the first sip if I will finish a cup of coffee, as I can drink it to the last drop when it's a bold dark roast, but I sip on weaker coffees, and it usually gets cold before I finish it....it's how I subconsciously can tell that I didn't like a cup, lol...

I have to say, restaurants have gotten much better, even in their regular roasts.

Another advantage to black coffee is if I don't finish it and it sits in the truck for a while, there's no cream to go bad.

I'm also a dark roast drinker. Even Starbucks has stopped burning theirs :)

Low carb flu can kick in. So I ate some pasta and dates.

Absolutely!! Another reason to drink black coffee!
I love dark roast....I have come yo the point where it has to be dark roast.

14 hour fasting works.

Means you go 14 hours without eating. If you last eat something at 9p, you can't eat again until 11a the next day.

At 5'11 I feel I should weigh 175 and should eat for that weight. So I'm taking in about 1750 calories a day now.
