I am up here in upstate New York where, shocker, it is snowing with visibility down. I leave for Orlando this evening. I am assigned to work Orlando to Washington Dulles to Tampa tomorrow even though I refuse to work Tampa. As that is not a hard and fast rule, I am going to make an exception because of the wind forecast. At my scheduled arrival tomorrow afternoon the winds are supposed to shift from southerly to northerly which is going to be a problem for me - I am counting on the wind shift to hold off by a couple hours. In the event that fails to materialize, I am simply going to tell ARTCC in no uncertain or even certain terms "Unable" the assigned DADES FOUR RNAV arrival and instead fly the DARBS THREE either the Valdosta or Cross City transition. The DARBS will take me to the west of KTPA for the 1L approach. I cannot and I will not mess with TECO Big Bend understand that. I am not going to summit with you. I am going to end up in Las Vegas through Chicago on Tuesday where I hope to track down and summit with |
