what is your waist size?

you have to go by the height, waist, chest ratio.

at his height and weight a size 34-36 would be ideal.

You mean it doesn't actually do a body good?

I only use milk in coffee (sometimes cream or 0.5 + 0.5). I used to use it in cereal but I don't really eat cereal anymore either. I can't just drink a glass of milk straight up.

What I'd really like to do is get my hands on some raw milk from grass fed cows, if nothing more than just to try it. I'd probably have to go out to Pennsylvania to get it since it's illegal to sell in New Jersey. The only problem is I've never had it so not quite sure how I'd react to it.

I guess that could make sense since you already work out. I never worked out as far as lifting weights until mid-March. So when I weighed 230-235, I looked like it. Maybe even worse. I want to get down to at least 185. Maybe 175-180.

So I took my blood pressure tonight.

This, after 8 steady weeks of lifting weights 2-3 times a week and no other form of exercise. No cardio.

It was 123/76.

It was a little higher, sometimes 140/92, 8 weeks ago.

I also made some changes to my diet.

The last time that I took my blood pressure a few weeks ago it was a little higher than yours. Maybe 129/79. Oh, and my waist above the belly button is 39.5, so I should lose 10-15 more pounds just as I plan.

That's not how you measure waistline.

It's below belly button. About a 4 inches below. It's where the belt goes on your pants. I would not measure. Just go by how your jeans fit.

Paleo Diet.

Few carbs. Lots of meat. Red meat. Eggs. Chicken. Turkey.

Typical meal would be steak and veggies.

Everyone I know on the diet loses their gut. Two or three into the diet their show no side effects.

fiogf49gjkf0d
You're wrong Luch.

The actual diet of hunter/gatherer populations is no more than 30% meat, often less. The Paleo diet is mostly potatoes, carrots and other root vegetables, some greens some grains and a little meat. NOT "lots of meat".

Bear in mind that gathering historically has been far more effective than hunting.

That being said, one can easily see that it isn't a "low carb" diet whatsoever. It is a somewhat more natural diet, one that goes back beyond agriculture added a steady grain source to the human diet (10,000 years ago) and involves no dairy (which was only added 5,000 years ago).

Your friends may *think* they are doing a Paleo diet, however they're actually doing the same old lowcarb Atkins thing. Lose the meats, load up on roots and tubers. THAT is the paleo diet.

Paleo diets are best at resolving digestion problems. if *calorie contained* they do work well for weight loss, but don't necessarily do that without limiting consumption.

fiogf49gjkf0d
That diet actually makes sense from a natural standpoint, since most animals don't like being hunted and eaten and have ways of preventing that.

You missed the last sentence in her message, the part about *calorie contained*. In the end, you lose weight by reducing the net amount of "unused" (for lack of a better term) calories, either by reducing your calorie intake or burning more. Prehistoric man spent a lot more energy hunting and gathering than just going to the market, and for generally less food.

Surprised you lost weight on diet soda because most experts say any soft drink is bad.

Butyric acid is good for digestion. Especially grass-fed cows.

I measure two tablespoons for 200 calories. That's my butter limit. Goes on cold baked potatoes for resistant starch. If you eat cold potatoes you're good to go.
