Sometimes, circumstances just don't lend themselves to a nice neat "permanent" solution, and trying to force such a solution only makes things worse. In such case, trying to keep the conflict on a low simmer, rather that having it flaring up, is the best that can be hoped for - and hopefully, a new generation that is ready for peace will eventually grow up and take over.I'm not saying Israel has never done anything wrong or stupid - it absolutely has. My point was that the the other side has to face reality and make a decision to make peace with Israel as a Jewish state before any real progress can be made. The ball is in their court. subfan |
