It doesn’t foreclose the option of ranked choice voting for Senators. Also, before 1913, Senators were not popularly elected.No, there is nothing that prevents that. I advocate that every time the topic comes up. Third parties also don’t ever elect the PM in the UK, or even Israel*, so that’s not an issue. And in any event, the President is not popularly elected either. I disagree. See above. *Israel is the poster boy for proportional representation. |
