The biggest reason boys of my generation didn't want to go was because they didn't want to get their asses shot off.Because the generations of WW1, WW2 and Korea weren't gonna get their asses shot off? The reason people avoided the draft in the 'Nam Era was because it wasn't a war worth risking one's life and limb for. Unlike those earlier wars, they saw that the privileged and the middle class were doing everything in their power to avoid the draft. And for good reason. |
